  Weiskopf and his European Quartet (WWEQ) announce their 2025-26 (eighth a
 nnual) three-leg winter tour\, hitting the European and Scandinavian jazz 
 circuit in November and January\; and then again in April for their debut 
 tour through Canada. Playing music from their upcoming release\, "What We 
 Need Is Love\," WWEQ is comprised of three of Europe's finest and most sou
 ght-after rhythm section artists\, Carl Winther (piano)\, Andreas Lang (ba
 ss)\, and Anders Mogensen (drums). Along with Weiskopf\, the quartet conti
 nues to make sterling marks in the worldwide jazz scene.\n\nSays Weiskopf 
 about this eighth annual tour\, "I am so excited to start working again wi
 th my band. Our new album is coming in March\, but two singles\, 'Love Let
 ters' and 'Close Enough For Love' have been released in the past few weeks
 \, on all digital platforms. In addition\, we had a chance to add to our e
 ver-growing holiday collection\, 'A Little Christmas Music\,' with three n
 ew tunes. The first of these will be out next month\, just in time for the
  holiday season."\n\nDuring the second leg of the tour\, WWEQ will be part
 nering with some of the best musicians in northern Europe to record Weisko
 pf's first-ever big band project\; a collaborative\, album-length project 
 comprised of Weiskopf's arrangements and original compositions. Many of hi
 s originals have been performed over recent years\, however this will be t
 he first time WWEQ will be recording them.\n\nAll WWEQ albums can be found
  on Spotify and other streaming platforms.\n\nAbout Walt Weiskopf:\n\nWith
  critically-acclaimed albums and countless sideman credits\, Walt started 
 his career with the Buddy Rich band at the age of 21. In the years since\,
  he has released more than 20 CDs featuring a stellar cast of the best con
 temporary jazz musicians including Brad Mehldau\, John Pattituci\, Joe Mag
 narelli\, Renee Rosnes\, Joe Locke\, Conrad Herwig\, Peter Zak\, Billy Dru
 mmond\, and Peter Washington\, to name a few. For 19 years\, Weiskopf cont
 inues to be an active member of the Steely Dan band.
