Nautilus is a Japanese Jazz trio centered around drummer Toshiyuki Sasaki. Together with bass player Shigeki Umeza-wa and Mariko Nakabayashi on the keys they are known for their distinctive style, which can be summarized as the modern rare groove, embodies a mixture of jazz, funk, disco music, soul, and even hip hop.
