Free entry! <br> </p><p>As the days grow shorter, the post-mining landscape around Wanninchen transforms into an important resting stop for around 10,000 Eurasian cranes and other flying guests. The Heinz Sielmann Natur-Erlebniszentrum invites you to witness this breathtaking spectacle first-hand. Join us for the evening arrival of the majestic cranes as they fly overhead on their way to the roosting sites.</p><p>Nature enthusiasts of all ages can learn more about the fascinating journey and life of these migratory birds. With the help of high-quality spotting scopes and binoculars, we offer a close-up view of the roosting sites on the far shore. As wildlife is involved, every crane watching experience is unique. Before the far-reaching crane calls echo across the horizon, we highly recommend visiting our interactive exhibition and grounds to get a better understanding of Wanninchen's interesting history.
