Sarah Dekker, the mind behind Moonloops, began her career in her bedroom. With a beaten-up guitar and a clear voice, she writes autobiographical indie pop songs that capture the complex uncertainty of growing up.With nearly 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is ready to share her stories with the world. Along with a nationwide tour, she released her first studio album "Little Astronaut, Big Dreams" in January 2024. This album explores themes like home, loneliness, friendship, misunderstanding, and love with magical songs that keep haunting you.After the release of her debut album, Dekker started reflecting on the past few years. Back on earth after a period of living with her head in the clouds, a new chapter in her life about personal growth began. The result is her new record,'an inch left to go', consisting of 7 songs written during various phases of her career. 'an inch left to go' is recorded both in her bedroom and at Heirloom Studios with T om Broshuis (Mr. Mississippi), resulting in a unique sound that combines elements of all of Moonloops' work so far.'an inch left to go' shows a new, more grown up side of Moonloops, where she explores themes like self-sabotage, comparison, expectations, and transformation.
