***ENGLISH***At the Welcome Music Session, people and music from all over the world come together every second Thursday of the month. It doesn?t matter whether you want to play music yourself or simply listen, clap along, or dance - everyone is welcome at the Welcome Music Session! The April session will be opened by Schlyakh-Dorizhenka.Schlyakh-Dorizhenka is a young folk ensemble dedicated to keeping the diverse vocal and musical traditions of Ukraine alive. Their repertoire ranges from lyrical and Cossack songs to calendar, ritual, and humorous pieces. The group was founded in 2021 by the Shevchenko family together with students from a secondary school in Makariv near Kyiv. After the start of Russia?s full-scale invasion, the members were forced to leave their homes. Some of them reunited in Germany, formed new connections, and havesince been bringing traditional Ukrainian culture to festival stages and benefit concerts across Europe. The band also organizes folklore camps, festivals, and workshops where they teach Ukrainian dances.Schlyakh-Dorizhenka performs in the traditional ?Troista Muzyka? formation, featuring two violins, tsymbaly, bass, and tambourine. Their program includes lively dances such as polkas, kozachoks, and waltzes from various regions of Ukraine.Afterwards, everyone who wishes is invited to join in the music on stage.Admission is free; donations are requested. For example via PayPal: http://www.paypal.com/paypalme/ZinnschmelzeThe Welcome Music Session was created with the idea of giving refugees a place where they can forget everyday life and build connections with others even without language skills. People with and without refugee experience are welcome at the session. If you know refugees, feel free to tell them about the session and support them in coming to the Zinnschmelze. Our thanks go to: Bezirk Hamburg Nord, Heinrich Hartmann Foundation, Dhu Foundation, Baugenossenschaft Hamburger Wohnen, SAGA GWG Stiftung Nachbarschaft.
